Hall House Project

Hall House is an effort to provide housing for homeless families with children in CMS. Many volunteer opportunities available including painting, cleaning, minor repairs, furniture moving and more. They also need home goods donated.

Barnabas Training

Hope is hosting Barnabas Training this February 6th-7th. This weekend seminar is led by professional counselors at The Barnabas Center. It is designed to equip you to understand and care for others by gaining a biblical understanding of your own heart.  The cost is normally $150, but it is being offered to Hope people at a discounted rate of $75.

The Big Read

The Big Read is an initiative proposed by Dana Gioia, the Chair of the National Endowment of the Arts.  In The Big Read the city reads one classic piece of American literature at a time and the mayor calls the entire city to function like a big book club.  Charlotte is participating by reading To Kill a Mockingbird beginning January 26th (read more).  This is a great way to engage with and support our city.
